We consider ourselves to be very kind people. We don’t have any true hate in our hearts and we always give others the respect they deserve. Sometimes, however, this leads to being “too nice” and getting taken advantage of.
In theory, this is easily avoidable, but in reality, it can be challenging. Sometimes, it’s as simple as not wanting to disappoint someone, so we just say “Yea, I can do that”. Other times, when it pertains to business, it can be more costly.
It’s crucial to understand yourself. You need to know what you want, what you don’t want, and be strong enough to deliver the appropriate response.
